Adapted from the 2015 PASSPORTkids! Missions Rotations, these activities are divided into three lessons that focus on two phases of the Salvadoran children’s journey. Lesson One will help children grasp the harrowing travel to reach the U.S. border with Mexico. In Lessons Two and Three, children will learn about Christian ministries in the U.S. who are responding to the refugee crisis and ways we can learn from them. The goals are for children to develop empathy and respect for the refugees and to consider ways they can respond as Christians to all newcomers among us.
